EVENTS&WORKSHOPS 2010
KNITTING WORKSHOPS, RETREATS & TOURS
Now imagine this: it is September and the world around you mellows into autumn gold, the air is turning crisp yet not chill. You are among like-minded fiber lovers sipping your drink of choice on a beautiful old wrap-round porch by the lake. At your fingertips, a treasure trove of gorgeous yarns is readily accessible—sari silks, twisted cottons flecked with beads, lush silken ribbons that flow across your fingers like water and all in colors tantalizingly rich. On your lap unfolds a knitting adventure both exhilarating yet stress-free. 'No mistakes exist', you hear me remind you all' as we knit together.
Yes. This September I'm coming to Petoskey, Lake Michighan, a lovely little historic town caught in a simpler time where we will have nothing more pressing to do for a few days but eat, enjoy one another's company, play with gorgeous yarn and knit. Did I mention eat? Oh, yes, we might get up and go for a walk once in awhile—so many lovely places to wander, after all, but, really, no have-tos exist in this realm.
Isn't this a perfect dream scenario? Well, consider it reality on the brew. You know how I love Mango Moon's yarns—richly textured, lots of silk at reasonable prices, BEADS! and so much more, including sponsorship of cooperatives in Nepal. Well, does it get any better in the yarn world? So, when the opportunity came for me to lead a workshop with such a fiber feast, I leapt at the opportunity. Here's the details:
