It took along time for me to appreciate the beauty in fog. To me, being a seaside dweller, fog was the grey shroud that stamped out all things color, but perhaps the wisdom of years brings a deeper appreciation of subtle. Now I see fog and all the shades of grey within to be a powerfully nuanced thing that speaks of seeing in a deeper way. The fusion of soft purples and greens and blues is extraordinary lovely and I can delight in it's quiet beauty. A double strand of pearls, sterling silver, amethyst, jasper, quartz, and glass encircle the neck in 18" of soft amethyst and silvery pearls. The central stone is a near-translucent piece of agate with pale purple inclusions with a sterling silver cone top. The clasp is sterling silver and labradorite ball and socket which slips into place. Fog incarnate.
