I was wandering along a street in Florence when I came upon this tiny, hole-in-the-wall bead shop. The first thing my eyes landed on were these paper mache orbs made from bits of Florentine paper. This one is of a map and though the others have long since gone to their new owners, I hung on to this one. When I brought it out recently, it spoke to me of voyages where I foraged for turquoise, gorgeous glass, and bits of Red Red jasper and married it all with copper and one stunning terracotta tube. Rusts and amber love turquoise almost as much as I love the call of the road. Features real turquoise from New Mexico, Red River Jasper, terracotta, glass, and real copper. Piece hangs 13 inches long with a 18" neck diameter.
